Working on 04 Passat trying to adapt another key but do not have 4 digit pin anyone have any success adapting keys for VW /Audi

Try using autokeyprog.com for pin code -

What has autokeyprog.com has got to do with VAG cars.................? For Vag Cars you need a tool which can read the Pin Code from instrument or engine ECU...........which MaxisysPro or any other Autel Tool can't do it for now, may be in the future if we are lucky to see that.............. -

I've done a couple with Maxisys, first read the PIN/Password with you Maxisys then do the adaptation. I have noticed that it won't read PIN on every car, so good luck. -

Was the PIN reading taken away from Maxisys after update? Mine still has it, haven't updated lately. -

The Pin Code Option is not taken away its still there but, as we all know that it don't work on all cars............if its working than may be 5% but, for me I have never been lucky it has never worked for me...................So, I can't say yes it is working............one has to try his luck............... -

it looks like it only works on immo types 2&3 ie 1999- 2005 or somewhere around there. -

Even not on all of those I believe. Tried on both older and newer cars and so far did not get lucky, but there might really well be a few of them that work. Would be great to have that info in the pdf on the maxisys -

i bet they are wrong anyway if you want to get it easy just buy vag-comander 1.4 less than $10
